Watch: Hend makes albatross, has no idea

Sometimes, you just can't tell. When you're hitting a metal wood on your second shot to a par 5 green, it's not easy to see where the ball finishes.

Fortunately for Scott Hend, it ended up in the cup at the 17th hole in the delayed second round of the Shenzhen International on the European Tour. Not that he immediately knew that.

The albatross jumped him from 5 to 8 under par, and within five of the lead in China.
