Watson to auction classic car, donate proceeds

Bubba Watson still has the General Lee in his garage, but the two-time Masters champ will soon be parting with another classic car - albeit for a good cause.

Watson will auction off his 1939 Cadillac LaSalle C-Hawk Custom Roadster during next week's Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. All of the proceeds from the Jan. 16 sale will be donated to Birdies for the Brave, a military outreach program founded by Phil Mickelson and supported by the PGA Tour.

"It's an honor to support the Green Beret Foundation and Birdies for the Brave, who do so much to give back to members of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families," Watson said in a release.

Watson attended the Barrett-Jackson auction three years ago, and left with the car from the "Dukes of Hazzard" television show. This time around he'll be on the seller's side of things, auctioning a car similar to one that sold for $269,500 at an auction in 2013.
