MEDINAH, Ill. – GolfTalkCentral got a peak at the American team room today, but the cavernous hall located in the team hotel is more arcade then locker room.
The table tennis theme, now a Ryder Cup tradition with Matt Kuchar regularly dispatching all comers, has now expanded to three tables and a limitless supply of ping pong balls and paddles, although many American team members now travel with their own paddles.
“If we have an injury this week it will probably be from someone steping on a ping pong ball,” U.S. captain Davis Love III said on Tuesday.
The team room also features a cornhole, or bean bag toss, game and foosball table.
“Life on Tour is fun,” Love said. “We just want to keep it going. We don’t want to get there and try too hard.”
