Skinny: Relished every bit of being back in the European fold for the first time in a decade. His halve against Koepka early Sunday was key.

Tommy Fleetwood (4-1-0)

Skinny: Got trounced in singles, but his clutch play on Friday morning was the turning point of this Ryder Cup. If the 12th-ranked player in the world can have a coming-out party, this was it.

Sergio Garcia (3-1-0)

Grade A
Skinny: There was as much pressure on Garcia to perform this week as anyone on either side. As a captain’s pick, in poor form, he did what he always does in the Ryder Cup – he shined bright.

Tyrrell Hatton (1-2-0)

Grade C
Skinny: One of the fieriest players in the Ryder Cup, he was largely kept in check all week – and that includes in a singles loss against Reed that didn’t matter.

Rory McIlroy (2-3-0)

Grade C⁺
Skinny: Tight home venue neutralized the Americans’ power advantage but also hurt McIlroy, who wasn’t sharp and struggled to find fairways. His Friday foursomes victory provided a significant boost.

Francesco Molinari (5-0-0)

Grade A⁺
Skinny: The Man of the Match was the first European to go a perfect 5-0, and he clinched the cup with a singles victory over Mickelson. Can’t do better than perfect.

Alex Noren (2-1-0)

Grade B
Skinny: No surprise, he looked comfortable at Le Golf National where he won in July. He teamed well with Garcia and his 50-footer on the final hole Sunday was the exclamation point for Europe.

Thorbjorn Olesen (1-1-0)

Grade C
Skinny: He was the only European to play just one team match, but Olesen came out firing in singles where he buried Spieth decisively, 5 and 4.

Ian Poulter (2-2-0)

Grade B
Skinny: Poulter’s best days might be behind him in team play, but his late reversal against world No. 1 Johnson in singles snuffed out any hopes of an American rally. As passionate as ever.

Jon Rahm (1-2-0)

Grade C⁺
Skinny: In what will be his first of many Ryder Cups, Rahm flashed at times but never found a consistent partnership. Still, his singles takedown of Woods was a special moment for the 23-year-old.

Justin Rose (2-2-0)

Grade B^-
Skinny: Predictably excellent in foursomes with Stenson, Rose dropped a fourball match and surprisingly never led against Simpson in the third singles match.

Henrik Stenson (3-0-0)

Grade A
Skinny: Couldn’t tell that he was bothered by a tender elbow, although that’s why he only played three sessions. The captain’s pick was rock-solid in team play, then demolished Watson in singles.

Thomas Bjorn (Captain)

Grade A⁺
Skinny: Pulled all the right strings and was brilliant from beginning to end. He believed in his players, created an atmosphere for them to produce their best, and it paid off in spades. A great leader.
