Seventy-two women’s teams received their regional bids Monday in a televised special on Golf Channel.
The four top seeds are USC (St. George regional), South Carolina (Raleigh), UCLA (San Antonio) and Arizona (South Bend). The 54-hole event is May 7-9.
The regional field is made up of 29 automatic qualifiers – earned by winning a conference championship – and 43 at-large bids, which are determined using Golfstat’s team rankings.
The top 6 teams after 54 holes at each regional will advance to the May 22-27 NCAA Championship at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.
Seventy-two holes of stroke play will determine the individual champion and the eight teams that advance to match play.
