UCLA sophomore Alison Lee, the reigning Player of the Year in women’s college golf, was one of three college players who advanced to the final stage of LPGA Q-School.
The finals will be held Dec. 3-7 at LPGA International in Florida. Players who finish in the top 20 will receive full status for the 2015 season, while those who finish 21-45 will have conditional status.
How Lee finishes at that event likely will determine whether plays the spring season with the Bruins. She tied for second at the season opener, then sat out UCLA’s second event, the Annika Invitational, where the team finished ninth without its top player.
The Bruins’ next event is the Oct. 17-19 Stanford Intercollegiate.
The other college players who advanced to final stage: USC junior and 2013 NCAA champion Annie Park, and Washington’s SooBin Kim and Yan Jing.
