NAPLES, Fla. – Paul Creamer won’t get her farewell week with long-time caddie Colin Cann after all.
With Cann’s back ailing, Creamer reached out to a local caddie Wednesday evening to tote her bag at the CME Group Championship this week. B.J. Triplett, who caddies at Tiburon Golf Club, was on her bag for Thursday’s start.
Cann and Creamer are splitting up after 12 years, with Cann accepting an offer to caddie for Korea’s newest star, Sung Hyun Park. Cann is the only full-time caddie Creamer has known since she hit the LPGA as a rookie in 2005.

Cann was going to caddie one last time for Creamer this week, but back pain caused him to pull out of Wednesday’s pro-am to seek treatment. The Creamer camp said concerns Cann’s back might not hold up through this week led to them hiring a local caddie.
“Colin and I have had a great 12 years together, but it was just time for a change for both of us,” Creamer told GolfChannel.com on Wednesday.
Park has dominated the Korean LPGA Tour this year, with seven victories. She’s No. 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Rankings and earned an LPGA tour card for next year via top-40 non-member money winning equivalency.
