Stacy Lewis will be looking to win the ShopRite Classic for the third time in four years when play begins Friday at the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club outside Atlantic City, N.J.
Golf Channel will televise the event 1-3:30 p.m. ET on Friday and from 3-6 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.
Here are three groups to watch in the 54-hole event’s first round:
Lewis, Brittany Lincicome and Karrie Webb, 7:44 a.m.
Lewis has been knocking hard on the door of her first victory this season. She has three second-place finishes and a third-place finish. She won this event in a six-shot runaway last year. Lincicome won the year’s first major, the ANA Inspiration. Webb won ShopRite two years ago.
Inbee Park, Morgan Pressel and Lexi Thompson, 7:55 a.m.
Park is looking for her third LPGA title this season. Pressel has found some strong form this spring with recent swing changes. She missed getting into a playoff by a shot at the ANA Inspiration and lost the Swinging Skirts Classic in a playoff. Thompson has three top-10 finishes in her last four starts.
Paula Creamer, Minjee Lee and Michelle Wie, 12:44 p.m.
Creamer rebounded nicely from a rough spell last month, tying for fifth in her last start at the Kingsmill Championship. Lee, the Australian rookie, won her first LPGA title at Kingsmill. Wie has struggled through illness and injury this season but is aiming to get her game together with her U.S. Women’s Open title defense just six weeks away.
