Minjee Lee held off Jessica Korda and Ariya Jutanugarn to win the Blue Bay LPGA Sunday in Hainan, China.
Lee shot a final-round 70 for a one-stroke victory over Korda (71). Jutanugarn (70) finished alone in third.
"I think my heart was like coming out of my chest ... even on that last putt," Lee said about her close finish. "I was a little nervous all day, actually."
Lee threw away a six-shot lead on Saturday, and she started the final round tied with Korda. The 20-year-old Australian quickly regained control of the tournament with a chip-in birdie on No. 1, and she edged Korda with a closing birdie on 18.
Jutanugarn tied Lee for the lead on 17 when she made birdie and Lee missed a 5-foot par putt. But Jutanugarn's hopes for her sixth title of the year vanished when she hooked her drive on 18 into the water. She earned enough points with a third-place finish to pass Lydia Ko for the top spot in the Race to CME Globe. There are only three events left until the season finale Nov. 17-20 in Naples, Fla.
Michelle Wie closed with a 2-over 74, but it was still good enough for her first top-10 finish of the year.
