Palmer has successful pacemaker implant surgery

Arnold Palmer had a pacemaker implanted Monday in Pittsburgh and is resting comfortably, according to a Facebook post on the Arnold Palmer Invitational page and on his own website.

Here is the complete post: "Arnold Palmer had successful pacemaker implant surgery today at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh to correct an abnormal heartbeat. He will remain in the hospital for observation overnight and is expected to be released Tuesday."

Palmer will turn 85 on September 10.
