With a 2-under-par 71 Saturday at the World Ladies Championship in China, Park remained atop the leaderboard at 10 under overall, a single shot ahead of Ryu, who shot 65 in the third round, and three shots ahead of Pettersen (67) and China’s Xiyu Lin (73).
In another dynamic final-round pairing, Park will be grouped with Ryu and Pettersen at the Mission Hills Blackstone Course. Park is the Rolex world No. 2, Ryu is No. 8 and Pettersen No. 5.
The World Ladies Championship is a Ladies European Tour event with an individual and team component to it. Park and Ryu aren’t just rivals this weekend, they’re also teammates. They’re trying to win the two-woman team title for South Korea for a second consecutive year.
This will mark the third consecutive year Park and Pettersen have been paired in the final round at the World Ladies Championship. Park won the event in 2014, Pettersen in 2013.
