PGA play resumes after 45-minute weather stoppage

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The second round of the PGA Championship was suspended for 45 minutes on Friday because of a non-dangerous situation due to rain. The round was suspended at 7:50 a.m. ET, and it resumed at 8:35 a.m. ET.

All tee times have been pushed back 50 minutes from the originally posted time. Groups had started the second round and were playing the ball down. PGA officials decided to not restart play to allow lift, clean and place. Players will continue to play the ball down for the remainder of the round.

Lee Westwood, Kevin Chappell and Ryan Palmer are the first-round leaders after shooting 6-under 65. Rory McIlroy is in a pack of five players a shot behind after shooting 66.
