The two-time Masters champion affectionately nicknamed Gentle Ben played his 44th and final competitive event at Augusta National this week. Unfortunately, his final jaunt was cut short after rounds of 91-85.
Ben Crenshaw, a fan favorite, had a sentimental and memorable exit that did not go unnoticed. Some of his fellow pros took to Twitter to send him farewell messages:
Not a more generous and humble man then Ben Crenshaw. Such a great man, I'm so glad to be able to spend some time with him.

What a touching moment with Ben Crenshaw and his caddy on the 18th green, he's been great for the game and always will be! #greatrolemodel
