Patrick Reed had quite a day with his wedges in Thursday’s opening round of the Shell Houston Open, holing out twice, once for eagle from 99 yards on the par-5 fourth hole and once for birdie from greenside rough on his final hole, the par-3 ninth. He finished with a 4-under 68.
