Shoulder injury sidelines Dubuisson at BMW PGA

The European Tour has announced that Victor Dubuisson will miss the circuit's flagship event because of a lingering shoulder injury.

Dubuisson missed The Players Championship earlier this month because of the shoulder ailment, one that he described in an interview with the French publication L'Equipe as an inflamed tendon.

Dubuisson has played sparingly since his surprise runner-up finish to Jason Day at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in February. He tied for 62nd at the WGC-Cadillac Championship before participating for Team Europe in the inaugural EurAsia Cup, which ended in a draw. He missed the cut in his first Masters appearance, then withdrew April 26 after making the cut at the Indonesian Masters and has not played since.

The Frenchman is currently sixth in the season-long Race to Dubai standings and 23rd in the latest world rankings. He's next expected to tee it up at the FedEx St. Jude Classic June 5-8, where he was recently added to the field.
