AUGUSTA, Ga. – Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy will play together for the first time on the weekend at a tournament.
Fortunately for us, it just so happens to be the last group at the Masters.
Spieth and McIlroy are slated to go off at 2:50 p.m. ET Saturday. They’ve played together during the first two rounds of two majors (last year’s PGA and the 2014 Masters), but never on the weekend.
Danny Lee and Scott Piercy are in the penultimate group (2:40 p.m.), while amateur Bryson DeChambeau, four shots back, will play alongside Shane Lowry at 2 p.m.
With 57 players making the cut, a marker will be used for the final two rounds. Jeff Knox, the club’s best player, has traditionally been used in that role. If he gets the call again, he will play with Bubba Watson (75-75), who made the cut via the 10-shot rule. He is first off at 9:50 a.m.
