Henrik Stenson broke an 18-month winless drought Sunday and re-entered the Official World Golf Ranking's top 5.
With his victory at the BMW International Open, Stenson picked up his 10th career European Tour victory and jumped from seventh to fifth in the world rankings, knocking Bubba Watson down to sixth. Stenson has been a permanent fixture of the top 10 since August 2013.
Separately, the R&A announced Monday that 11 more players - No. 58 James Hahn, No. 65 Gary Woodland, No. 68 Ryan Palmer, No. 70 Patton Kizzire, No. 71 Fabian Gomez, No. 74 Jeunghun Wang, No. 75 Scott Hend, No. 76 Graeme McDowell, No. 77 Brendan Steele, No. 78 Francesco Molinari, and No. 79 Tony Finau - have earned their spot in the Open Championship field as the highest-ranked non-exempt players in the world.
