Watch: Woods using TaylorMade wood on range

As the countdown to the Hero World Challenge continues, questions remain about the state of Tiger Woods' game after more than a year away from competition. Questions about what clubs he may put into play in the Bahamas, however, may soon be answered.

Woods was one of several high-profile players whose equipment futures were put into limbo when Nike announced earlier this year that it would be exiting the golf equipment space. While Woods will remain with the brand for footwear and apparel, he is now free to play equipment from any provider.

That flexibility inevitably leads to some tinkering, and Wednesday Woods was spotted on the driving range at Medalist Golf Club by fellow PGA Tour pro Will Wilcox, who posted video to his Snapchat account (@Yuell365) of Woods hitting a TaylorMade M-series fairway wood:

Should he put the new woods into play, Woods would join Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka among notable Nike staffers who have switched to TaylorMade fairway woods in the wake of Nike's decision.

Speaking at a private clinic last month in California, Woods told a small group of attendees that he would be "looking into a bunch of different things" when it came to equipment.

"I want to see what's out there," Woods said. "Every person at Nike has been trying different stuff. Whether they put it into play or not is a whole other story. But we're free in that market."

The Hero World Challenge, where Woods is expected to make his first competitive start since August 2015, will be held at Albany Golf Club Dec. 1-4 and broadcast live on Golf Channel.
