Like an albatross, a shot holed on the fly is a rare sight in golf.

Robert Streb, who got into the Sony Open after Hideki Matsuyama withdrew Wednesday because of a wrist injury, nearly slam dunked his second shot at the par-4 14th hole on Thursday. How close was it to going in? So close the cup was damaged and had to be repaired before play continued.

Unfortunately for Streb, his shot bounced off the flagstick and landed about 43 feet away. He made par and finished with an even-par 70.
