Looking to add a little color to your fall wardrobe?
Just purchase a green jacket. Yes, that green jacket – it’s up for auction and should command more than $100,000.
The green jacket, which belonged to Horton Smith, the first Masters winner, is up for auction at greenjacketauctions.com. The high bid is already over $60,000, and bidding ends Sept. 7.
According to published reports Monday (including this feature from Golf Digest), Smith’s jacket was presumed lost but had actually been hanging in a closet for the past few decades, according to one of his relatives. He won the Masters in 1934 and ’36.
