U.S. Open sectional qualifying: Maryland

Seventy-eight players competed at Woodmont Country Club for seven spots in the U.S. Open. Nicholas Thompson, older brother of LPGA star Lexi Thompson, made it through, but Champions Tour regular Fred Funk didn't. The U.S. Open will take place June 14-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
