The European Tour debuted a new Internet show this week called "Season Pass" in which it gives fans a closer look at its best on and off the course.
This week featured some hijinks from Jamie Donaldson, Chris Wood, Tommy Fleetwood and even One Direction pop star Niall Horan. But the best moment, by far, came from the European Tour awards dinner (at the 2:30 mark), when Rory McIlroy ran into his idol, Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Now, if you don't like The Most Interesting Golfer in the World, then we probably can't be friends. To quote the great philosopher Kanye West, dude has "swagga on a hundred thousand, trillion." Everyone loves the guy.
But it's still great to watch the best golfer in the world geek out the same way most of us hacks would upon running into him.
“No, you’re my idol. You know why? Every time I turn on my TV you either make a hole-in-one or you hole-out a shot and you do the dance," says McIlroy. "He does it every week. Every week he holes a shot.”
Then they danced. It was beautiful.
