Lee Westwood is a funny guy.
For four days we’ve been wondering if Rory McIlroy would make it from San Francisco to Las Vegas for the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight. And at one point Saturday night we appeared to have our answer:
@haza136 & I are on our way to Mayweather/Pacquiao in Vegas. Thanks for the tix @McIlroyRory . Good luck this avo! pic.twitter.com/UMvlHSbbAu

With the fight likely to start between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, and McIlroy stuck in his quarterfinal match with Paul Casey, it seemed as if he finally gave up trying to make it. And Westwood, having lost, 3 and 2, to Tommy Fleetwood in the Round of 16, was plenty available.
Westwood is in Vegas, and McIlroy did give away one of his tickets to a friend, who hopped the flight with Westwood, but it turns out Westwood actually has fellow Englishman Danny Willett’s ticket. He appears to be enjoying himself.
