Report: Pop star Horan plans to start golf agency

One Direction singer – and Rory McIlroy buddy – Niall Horan is putting his solo music career on hold to start a player management company for golfers, according to a report in The Sun.

The report states that the new agency, called Modest Golf Management, will work in collaboration with One Direction’s management company, Modest, and will focus on U.K. players. It also states that Mark McDonnell, a former TaylorMade accounts manager, is on board.

Horan notably caddied for McIlroy in last year’s Masters Par 3 Content. He also nearly killed a spectator with an errant tee shot during the BMW PGA Championship pro-am:
