Stenson threatens to leave golf, become James Bond


With "Spectre," the 24th installment in the James Bond film series, due in theatres this Friday, Nov. 6, and with Daniel Craig repeatedly expressing his refusal to play the title role for a fifth film, the search for a new 007 is on.

Evidently concerned with recasting the role as soon as possible, the European Tour is polling the public, and may have successfully convinced one of its top players to trade golf for international espionage:

Stenson posted a score in the 60s in just one of his four rounds in Malaysia and finished in a tie for 47th at 7 under for the week.

The Australian George Lazenby, who played Bond in the 1969 "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," is the only one of the seven actors to play Bond in the film series who wasn't a Brit.

So why not a Swede with some sweet sunglasses?

Weird, Craig bears a striking resemblance to Tiger Tracker. Probably nothing. Move on.
