The AIG Women’s Open marks the final major of the year, and the historic championship is also celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The 144-player field represents the best of the best in the women’s game, and they will be competing for a record $10 million purse at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, beginning Thursday.
Nelly Korda and Haeran Ryu headline the field in Lancashire, England. Their names are the only ones listed on the major trophies this year, having each taken home two titles.
Defending champ Miyu Yamashita looks to repeat, as last year’s runner-up Charley Hull will tee it up in search of the first major of her career.
All four rounds will be streamed on Golf Channel mobile. Golf Channel and USA Sports will both carry the first two rounds of televised coverage with USA showcasing the weekend, before switching to NBC.
