European event given late move from Korea to Singapore

VIRGINIA WATER, England - The European Tour has moved one of its events from South Korea to Singapore with only three weeks’ notice because of ''staging issues.’'

The Championship was due to be staged in Incheon from May 1-4 but the tour said Thursday it will now be held at the Laguna National Golf and Country Club in Singapore.

Tour officials were unable to immediately elaborate on what the staging issues were when contacted by The Associated Press.

Laguna National hosted the Singapore Masters between 2002 and ’07 and the Singapore Open from 2009-12
