AUGUSTA, Ga. – Although the question was asked with tongue firmly planted in cheek, 9-year-old Kelly Xu thoroughly embraced the answer.

Xu, who won the Girls 7-9 Division at the inaugural Drive, Chip & Putt Championship, was asked if she was aware that she was the first female champion at Augusta National?

“Yeah,” she smiled. “It felt like really exciting that all my hard work (paid off). This is Augusta National and to me it’s the most special course in the world.”

Because Xu (pronounced SUE) was in the youngest division she was the first female awarded a trophy, making the Santa Monica, Calif., resident the answer to major championship golf’s most unique Trivia Pursuit question.
