Masters champion Bubba Watson wasn’t ready to return to the PGA Tour this week in New Orleans, but apparently his caddie wanted to get back on the course.
Watson’s looper, Ted Scott, attempted to Monday qualify for this week’s Zurich Classic, the tournament his boss won in 2011. Scott shot 1-under 71 at LaTour Golf Club, falling four shots shy of earning a spot. He mixed four birdies with three bogeys during the qualifier.

Scott is expected to return to his day job at next month’s Players Championship.
