Call it the luck of the Aussies?
One day after Scott Gardiner took advantage of the contours of the 11th green to make a hole-in-one, Greg Chalmers took advantage of the countours of a fan sitting beside the 11th green to nearly make an ace of his own.
Chalmers pushed his tee shot on the par-3 well left of the green, but got a little bit of help from the gallery:
As you might imagine, he would go on to tap in for birdie.
Chalmers, who was born in Sydney, holds a one-shot lead over four players, one of whom is Rory McIlroy, thanks to his second-round 66 - and thanks to whoever directed his ball towards the hole at 11.
