The accolades continue to roll in for Fred Couples.
The 54-year-old, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame last year and led the U.S. Presidents Cup team to victory in October for the third time, was named this year’s Gold Tee Award winner.
The Gold Tee is presented by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association “to an individual whose career achievements exemplify the best spirit and traditions of the sport of golf.”
Couples will be honored at the association’s annual award dinner in June.
