Players woke up to foggy conditions Thursday in San Antonio, and had to wait much of the morning before beginning first-round play at the Valero Texas Open.
The first groups were scheduled to tee off at TPC San Antonio at 7:30 a.m. CDT, but a thick layer of fog pushed back the tee times by 2 hours and 30 minutes. The first players were finally able to get on the course at 10 a.m. local time, with the final groups of the day now slated to begin at 4:40 p.m.
With extra time on their hands, several players took to Twitter to share their view of the fog that encased the course - and the adjacent J.W. Marriott Hotel - early Thursday morning:
