Jim Furyk will end a seven-month layoff and return at next week’s Wells Fargo Championship.
Furyk, who turns 46 in two weeks, hasn’t played since the BMW Championship in September, when he withdrew because of a sore left wrist.
He sat out the rest of the year to let it heal, but he underwent surgery in February and was slated to miss three months.
In a release, Furyk said that he will play in back-to-back weeks at Quail Hollow and The Players. Because of his extended absence, he has slipped to 24th in the world ranking.
