Ko played her final three holes in even par for a 2-under 69 and was tied for 11th place, four strokes off the pace set by Ariya Jutanugarn.
“I didn’t start off very well. I pretty much scrambled on the first two holes and came off with good pars,” Ko said. “So I’m happy that I ended up 2 under par. I think it’s a solid start to the first round of the Olympics. I tried to enjoy it.”
