Even Jessica Korda was a good sport about her malapropism in a BBC interview Sunday after the final round of the Ricoh Women’s British Open.
After a 2-over-par 74, which was good for a tie for fifth, her best finish in a major, Korda told the BBC that windy conditions were difficult, with her golf ball “ovulating” on the greens. Of course, as she good-naturedly corrected via Twitter, Korda meant “oscillating.”
Korda was able to laugh about it afterward along with others on Twitter:
Dying laughter right now! I said Ovulating not oscillating on live Tv!! Hahahah oh that was exhausting round... Obviously #blonde #sorry
