Dustin Johnson’s five-shot romp at the Genesis Open was noticed by the betting public in Las Vegas.
Johnson started the week with 12/1 odds to win the Masters at the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, equal to those of Hideki Matsuyama and behind three other players. Once he was finished torching Riviera Country Club, Johnson’s Masters odds fell to 8/1 and put him behind only tournament favorite Jordan Spieth.
Spieth’s odds drifted back a bit from his 6/1 height following his win at Pebble Beach, while Day and McIlroy both moved from 10/1 to 12/1 as Johnson surged past them.
