SAN DIEGO – After a 2 1/2-hour fog delay to start the day, play was suspended at the Farmers Insurance Open at 5:16 p.m. (PT) with 42 players still on the golf course.
Among the players who did not complete their rounds were Phil Mickelson (who was 1 over through 15 holes), Jimmy Walker (also through 16 holes) and Dustin Johnson (who was playing his final hole).
The first round is scheduled to resume at 8:30 a.m. on Friday followed by Round 2, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
That said, the “marine layer,” which has been an issue all week, is expected to return early Friday.
