The 2020 PGA Championship will be held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, according to multiple published reports.

An official announcement is expected to be made July 2, according to Golf.com, which first reported the news.

This will mark the first time the PGA has headed out west since 1998 (Sahalee), and Harding Park will become the first TPC property to host a major championship.

Harding Park hosted the 2005 WGC-American Express Championship, 2009 Presidents Cup and three Charles Schwab Cups on the Champions Tour (2010, 2011, 2013).

With this news, California will now have a major in three consecutive years, with the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, the 2020 PGA at Harding Park and 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
