The Tiger Woods Foundation announced Tuesday that Rick Singer has been named as the organization’s newest president and CEO, effective next month.

According to a media release, Singer previously worked as vice president of consulting with Kemper Sports and as a director and group manager for the NBA. He most recently served as vice president of client executive marketing for IBM, where he managed all global sponsorships including the Masters and the U.S. Open.

“After an extensive national search, it was clear Rick’s leadership and sports marketing experience made him the ideal candidate for this position,” Woods said as part of the release. “My charity work is extremely important to me, and and I look forward to expanding our programs even further with Rick.”

Singer replaces Greg McLaughlin as the foundation’s top executive. McLaughlin, who served as president and CEO from 2000-2014, left earlier this month for a position with the PGA Tour.
