Brandt Snedeker, who struggled on Sunday at the U.S. Open with an ailing back, had a magnetic resonance imaging test and X-ray on Monday.

Both tests were negative and Snedeker planned to undergo therapy for a “tweaked” muscle before flying to Hartford, Conn., on Wednesday where he will play this week’s Travelers Championship.

Snedeker has endured a series of injuries, including multiple hip surgeries and a left knee injury late last year when he fell off a Segway scooter during an event in Shanghai.
