Jordan Spieth closed out his first nine on Sunday at the Masters with four straight birdies to grab a five-stroke lead and appeared to be cruising toward his second straight green jacket.
But he gave the field hope with a bogey-bogey start to the second nine and then completely imploded on the par-3 12th hole.
Spieth found Rae’s Creek off the tee, chunked his next shot into the water again, hit his fifth shot into the bunker behind the green, splashed out and made the putt for a quadruple bogey-7.

The defending champion stood on the 12th tee with a one-stroke lead and walked off the green three shots behind new leader Danny Willett.
