According to Las Vegas, Henrik Stenson is still the man to beat this week in Rio.
Stenson opened as a 9/2 betting favorite to win the gold medal in golf’s return to the Olympics, according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. Those odds have not changed for the Swede, who at No. 5 is the highest-ranked player in this week’s field.
Stenson is followed by Spain’s Sergio Garcia, who boasts 7/1 odds.
While the lines on Stenson and Garcia have not changed since their release following the PGA Championship, there have been notable shifts on two other Olympic participants. Ireland’s Padraig Harrington is down to 40/1 after opening at 50/1, while Germany’s Alex Cejka is now listed at 80/1 after opening at 125/1.
