ORLANDO, Fla. – Adam Scott is rolling at Bay Hill, leading by seven strokes through 36 holes, despite flu-like symptoms the first two days, but he wasn’t the only player suffering this week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Chris Stroud was visiting with his family at Walt Disney World last week when he contracted what turned out to be a stomach flu. The ailment was debilitating enough to keep Stroud from playing practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday.

In fact, Stroud didn’t think he’d be able to play in Wednesday’s pro-am and when he began his week 5 over through his first three holes it didn’t appear as if he’d make it to Sunday. But he rebounded, playing his next 33 holes in 7 under par and began Saturday’s round tied for 30th.
“I’m at about 85 percent, it’s getting 5 percent better each day,” Stroud said. “It was terrible. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.”
