PINEHURST, N.C. – The third Pinehurst Open proved to be a short one for several top players, including Masters champion Bubba Watson.

Watson managed an even-par 70 on Day 2, but it wasn’t enough to stick around for the weekend at the U.S. Open. There will be no Bubba Slam, at least not this year.

Other notables who missed the 36-hole cut, which was reserved for the low 60 (and ties) and fell at 5-over 145: Luke Donald (146), Jason Dufner (146), Hunter Mahan (146), Charl Schwartzel (146), Miguel Angel Jimenez (146) and Lee Westwood (148).
