AUGUSTA, Ga. – Boo Weekley matched his opening round from his last Masters start in 2009, a 1-over 73 that could have been worse following a painful miscue late in his round.
On the par-5 15th hole Weekley’s back foot slipped while teeing off and caused a twinge in his back.

“I slipped so bad my playing partners said, ‘I can’t believe you even hit that shot,’” Weekley said.
Weekley said the slip caused his back to tighten up but didn’t plan on getting any therapy after his round and said he hasn’t had any back issues.
