BETHESDA, Md. – One of the subtexts to Monday’s media day at the Quicken Loans National was Congressional’s commitment to Tiger Woods’ event.

In March, the club’s membership voted to continue hosting the event through 2020 with the stipulation that the tournament would rotate to other courses in odd-numbered years.

“I’d like to thank the membership of this club for supporting this event,” club president Steve Durante said on Monday.

Officials have already have named Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in nearby Gainesville, Va., as the host site for 2015, but where the event will be played in ’17 and ’19 remains unknown and it was clear the Tiger Woods Foundation would prefer to stay at the Blue Course.

“It’s been fun to be here in D.C. and play this golf course. This is one of the great golf courses and we’re excited to be here through 2020,” Woods said.
