Things looked bad for Matt Kuchar when, after he bogeyed the 17th hole with a three-putt, he sent his approach on 18 into the front bunker. A bogey would have left him tied with Luke Donald and raised the specter of yet another occasion where Kuchar failed to hold on to a Sunday lead. But Kuchar holed the bunker shot and the rest is history.
