2010 Power Rankings: Week 29

RK(LW)NAMECOMMENTS
1(4)Lee Westwood
Not that the Englishman needed another major near-miss to prove his worth but it’s hard to believe he doesn’t collect that coveted Grand Slam sooner rather than later.
2(1)
Justin Rose
Missed the cut at St. Andrews but he’s still among the best in the game right now, both physically and mentally.
3(2)
Graeme McDowell
Done in by a third-round 76, but for the second consecutive major the Northern Irishman was part of the conversation on the weekend.
4(NR)
Louis Oosthuizen
Louis the Great was flawless in fierce conditions at St. Andrews and with two victories this year in Europe he’s overtaken his mentor Ernie Els as the top South African.
5(5)
Steve Stricker
Like Mickelson, links golf really isn’t his cup of tea, but the PGA Championship next month is a home game and he’s still one of golf’s top putters,
6(NR)
Rory McIlroy
Took his lumps on Friday and still has yet to post a competitive round in the 70s on the Old Course, but if anyone can learn from his Open experience he will.
7(3)
Phil Mickelson
Made a mess of the Open Championship, but that was hardly unexpected, and he will be impossible to ignore at next month’s PGA Championship.
8(6)
Luke Donald
Another major without Donald being a factor. Still, the Englishman is having a decent summer.
9(10)
Jeff Overton
He tied for 11th at St. Andrews, his fifth top-15 finish in his last nine starts.
10(NR)
Dustin Johnson
Was solid at St. Andrews with his tie for 14th and has clearly put Pebble Beach behind him.
