Westwood May Miss Masters

Lee Westwood may miss this year’s Masters Tournament because his wife, Laurae, is expecting their first child in the middle of the event.

Westwood said the baby is due on the Saturday of the Masters and if it hasn’t arrived prior to his expected leave for Augusta, he won’t play.

The 27-year-old Englishman is playing in this week’s Dubai Desert Classic. It’s the defending Order of Merit champion’s first European Tour start of the season. Last year, Westwood won six times en route to ending Colin Montgomerie’s seven-year reign as Europe’s best.
