Darkness suspends Round 2 of the Northern Trust

LOS ANGELES – The second round of the Northern Trust Open was suspended Friday at 5:50 p.m. PT due to darkness.

The second round will resume with players in position at 6:45 a.m.

After the cut is made Saturday morning, the third round is expected to begin at 8 a.m.

Eight players were still on the course when the second round was suspended. Erik Compton (+3) is just inside the cut line with three holes to play. Amateur Jordan Spieth (+4) is just outside the cut line with two holes to play.
